design, hardware design, analysis, and troubleshooting, preferably within the
motor control and defense industry.
The ideal
candidate will have a deep understanding of both the hardware and software
theory of operation of motor controllers and will be capable of leading
technical efforts on complex, mission‑critical programs.
Responsibilities
Lead and
perform electrical circuit design and hardware design for motor controllers and
related power electronics.
Develop and
review schematics, board‑level designs, and component selections for motor
drive systems.
Perform
detailed circuit analysis, simulations, and design validation to meet
performance, reliability, and safety requirements.
Own and
drive hardware troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis at board and system
levels.
Work
closely with embedded software teams to ensure proper hardware/software
integration and understanding of the end‑to‑end motor controller operation.
Support
bring‑up, testing, and debug of motor control hardware in lab and system
environments.
Lead
technical discussions and reviews, providing guidance to junior engineers and
cross‑functional teams.
Ensure
designs comply with applicable defense, quality, and regulatory standards.
Required
Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical
Engineering or a related field.
Strong
hands‑on experience in circuit design and hardware design (mandatory).
Proven
experience in circuit analysis, validation, and troubleshooting of complex
electronic systems.
Solid
understanding of motor control systems, including power stages, gate drivers,
sensors, and control interfaces.
Good
knowledge of power electronics (MOSFETs, IGBTs, inverters, DC‑DC converters).
Understanding
of hardware and software theory of operation for motor controllers.
Experience
working in or with the defense industry is highly preferred. Ability to
technically lead and mentor engineers on hardware development efforts.
Strong
documentation, communication, and design review skills. Preferred / Additional
Skills Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools.
Familiarity
with EMI/EMC considerations and mitigation techniques.
Experience
in hardware bring‑up, lab testing, and use of test equipment (oscilloscopes,
logic analyzers, power analyzers).
Exposure to
safety‑critical or mission‑critical electronic systems. Experience
collaborating with systems, firmware, and test engineering teams.
