Duration: 1 Year Renewable Contract
Description
Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Wireless Network Engineer to join their IT Infrastructure team. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of enterprise-grade wireless LAN (WLAN) systems across their facilities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cisco wireless technologies, strong troubleshooting skills, and a collaborative mindset to work with internal teams and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

WLAN Operations & Support:
-Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve WLAN hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
-Provide off-hours and weekend support as part of an on-call rotation (approximately 1 week every 8 weeks).
-Respond to escalated wireless network incidents and service requests.

Design & Implementation:
-Implement and optimize WLAN designs based on business requirements and site surveys.
-Collaborate with the broader WLAN team to develop and refine deployment and support processes.

Infrastructure Integration
-Work closely with business units and vendors to integrate wireless infrastructure with enterprise systems.
-Participate in integrated testing and user acceptance for new wireless deployments and upgrades.

Administration & Maintenance
-Maintain and administer wireless network hardware, software, and configurations.
-Monitor performance and ensure compliance with security and operational standards.

Automation & Scripting
-Leverage automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible) to streamline network management tasks.

Required Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
-3–6 years of progressively responsible experience in IT infrastructure or network engineering.
-Strong knowledge of WLAN configuration commands, protocols, and hardware components.
-Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent certification.
-Experience supporting medium to large enterprise environments.
-Familiarity with wireless site survey tools and performance monitoring platforms.
-Proficiency in automation and scripting for network tasks.
