CVS Health Digital is seeking an experienced, outcome-driven Solutions Architect with AI expertise to lead the architecture of innovative digital healthcare solutions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams—including design, research, product management, and engineering—to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performance architecture runways. You will be instrumental in driving transformation within the healthcare industry by building impactful digital products used by millions of people.
Key Responsibilities
Lead technical architecture initiatives across multiple value streams (e.g., Agile Release Trains), ensuring successful product delivery.
Identify and promote reusable solutions for cross-cutting concerns.
Evaluate build vs buy options for various technical solutions.
Establish, evangelize, mentor, and enforce architectural best practices, standards, and guidelines.
Translate product vision and requirements into feasible technical architectures, identifying risks and blockers.
Communicate technical blueprints effectively to business partners, leadership, and engineering teams.
Define and ensure adherence to non-functional requirements such as scalability, availability, performance, security, and failover.
Guide the evolution of architectural roadmaps balancing feature development, technical debt reduction, and strategic objectives.
Collaborate with Agile teams across multiple execution cycles for large solution delivery.
Evaluate new technologies and lead proof of concept (POC) initiatives as necessary.
Provide mentorship and leadership to Architects, Senior Architects, and other collaborators.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of hands-on experience in consumer-facing enterprise application development.
Minimum 6 years in technical architecture, leading architecture initiatives across multiple value streams (e.g., Agile Release Trains).
Deep expertise in architectural methodologies and best practices.
Proficiency in modern programming languages, frameworks, and cloud technologies.
Strong experience designing server applications, APIs, microservices, containers, databases, and cloud infrastructures.
Familiarity with distributed computing architectures including concurrency control and parallelism.
Expertise in RESTful API design and modern API patterns.
Ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to varied audiences.
Experience with Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, GIT, and DevOps principles.
Excellent communication, collaboration, negotiation, mentoring, and leadership skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally with Product, UX, Development, QA, and DevOps teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in or with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Knowledge of regulatory compliance such as ADA, PCI, PII, and PHI.
Experience with security-focused projects.
