We
are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our Agile
team and take ownership of both manual and automation testing activities. The
ideal candidate will have strong experience in Cypress automation, functional
testing, API validation, and end-to-end testing of complex web applications.
The role requires close collaboration with developers, business analysts, and
product stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases and comprehensive test
coverage.
Key
Responsibilities
1.
Analyze user stories, acceptance criteria, and UI designs (Figma) to create
effective test scenarios and test cases.
2.
Perform end-to-end manual testing for new features and enhancements.
3.
Design, develop, maintain, and execute Cypress automation scripts.
4.
Validate UI, business workflows, integrations, and backend functionality.
5.
Automate regression and critical business scenarios to improve test coverage.
6.
Review automation code and participate in pull request reviews.
7.
Track, report, and verify defects through resolution.
8.
Collaborate with developers during sprint cycles and support story acceptance
activities.
9.
Execute smoke, functional, integration, regression, and release validation
testing.
10.
Provide testing evidence, execution reports, screenshots, and validation
results for business approval.
11.
Support release activities, deployment verification, and post-release
validations.
12.
Continuously improve the automation framework, test coverage, and testing
processes.
Technical
Skills
1.
5+ years of QA experience with a strong automation background.
2.
3+ years of hands-on experience with Cypress Automation Framework.
3.
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
4.
Experience in API Testing and REST API validation.
5.
Strong understanding of Automation Framework design and maintenance.
6.
Experience with Git, GitHub, branching, merging, and pull request workflows.
7.
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.
8.
Experience in Web Application Testing, UI Testing, and End-to-End Testing.
9.
Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, DOM, and browser behavior.
10.
Experience with Test Management tools such as QTest and Agile tools such as
Rally.
11.
Experience in CI/CD-based automation execution and reporting.
