Randstad is seeking a Senior SAFe Scrum Master / Team Coach for a contract opportunity with our client, Amtrak, in Washington, DC. This individual will serve as a servant leader and agile coach for a high-performing Agile team within a SAFe Agile Release Train (ART). The successful candidate will play a key role in driving Agile maturity, team collaboration, and delivery of business value by applying SAFe principles and coaching practices.
This is a critical role for supporting the enterprise-wide SAFe transformation and fostering a culture of trust, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a servant leader and Agile coach to one or more Agile teams.
Guide teams in Agile/SAFe best practices to improve delivery cadence and quality.
Facilitate all key Agile ceremonies including PI Planning, Iteration Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
Work closely with Product Owners to ensure team backlogs are well-groomed and prioritized.
Identify and remove impediments to team success; foster a culture of problem-solving.
Support the Agile Release Train cadence and ceremonies, and coordinate with other teams for dependency management.
Establish and maintain Kanban boards and workflow visualization.
Utilize flow, competency, and OKR metrics to track and improve team performance.
Promote Built-in Quality practices and high-performing team behaviors.
Support SAFe Practice Consultants (SPCs) and participate in Communities of Practice (CoPs).
Champion continuous improvement during IP Iterations and across Program Increments.
Required Qualifications:
SAFe 6.0 Scrum Master Certification (must-have).
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Team Coach in large-scale enterprise Agile environments.
Proficient in Agile tools such as Jira Software, Confluence, Jira Align, and FigJam.
Strong facilitation, coaching, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SAFe Program Consultant (SPC 6.0)
SAFe Agilist (SA 6.0)
SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE 6.0)
