Job Description

 

Caterpillar has numerous ongoing projects being funded by Global Security. Due to a recent increase in approved projects they have a need for a strong analyst with a security background who can help shepherd numerous projects that will be starting in the upcoming months. Candidate is responsible for analyzing business needs and driving TVM/AppSec initiatives to ensure program objectives are met, help define architecture roadmap and strategy by partnering with various cross-functional teams meeting enterprise security compliance and operational efficiencies. The position requires cyber security experience to collaborate with other IT security team members and IT leadership in order to drive out roadmap and deployment strategy.

• Knowledge of technology risk management and industry best practices.
• Project leadership skills to establish and execute risk related projects effectively and the ability to resolve conflicts.
• Operations-oriented capabilities; to include deep analytical skills, trend analysis, service level/operational performance metrics and executive level reporting abilities (written and verbal).
• Assists with internal/external audits, HR, and legal inquiries; maintains strong working relationships with these groups.
• Strong written and verbal presentation skills to a wide variety of senior managers across the organization.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Prior team leadership experience a plus
• Self-starter and self-motivating
• Excellent problem solving, analytical, communication, organization, task and time management skills
• Capable of delivering results through a position of influence, not authority
• Can help give direction to team members and will help assess performance and staff planning.
Preferred Experience:
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to develop and deliver executive presentations
• Active industry certification(s) preferred (such as CISSP, CRISC, CISA, CISM, CEH, SANS – GSEC, GCIH, etc)
