Core Responsibilities: • Oversee data migration from an on-prem Microsoft SQL server to cloud hosted PostgreSQL database supporting migration of FPLAir Operations Dashboard • Support NJUNS data optimization and geospatial reference table generation • Data orchestration for general pole inspections and joint use inspection projects o ADS, Condition assessment, Pole inspection program, feeder hardening and SSUP • Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using FME for data extraction from SharePoint, APIs, and enterprise applications • Pole summary and integration with Condition Assessment Application • Design and implement Digital Atlas API integration retrieving mission metadata, image annotations, and AI model results • Build automated data transformation workflows restructuring nested JSON/XML into normalized database schemas • Implement database triggers, stored procedures, and automation supporting geospatial table generation • Optimize complex queries involving spatial joins, buffer analysis, and geometric calculations • Manage multi-environment data publishing across Production, QA, and Development systems
Required Technical Skills: • Microsoft SQL Server: Experience with T-SQL, database migration methodologies, and cross-platform integration for ADS dashboard support • FME (Feature Manipulation Engine): Advanced workflow design, transformation logic, custom transformers, and FME Server scheduling • PostgreSQL/PostGIS Development: Complex query optimization, trigger development, and spatial analysis workflows
• RESTful API Integration: JSON/XML parsing, authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, JWT), pagination handling, and error management • Digital Atlas API Expertise: Experience integrating with enterprise image management platforms and metadata extraction • Data Structure Optimization: Schema design for geospatial query performance, spatial indexing strategies, and partitioning for large datasets • Python/SQL Development: Backend development for data integration, automation scripting, and validation workflows • Change Data Capture (CDC): Implementing incremental update mechanisms and data lineage tracking • Authentication & Access Management: SSO integration for SharePoint and Azure services, service account configuration
Preferred Qualifications: • 5+ years experience in data engineering or ETL development roles • Background in geospatial data processing and utility industry applications • Proven track record developing API integrations with complex enterprise systems • Experience with image management platforms and metadata standardization • Strong problem-solving capabilities in high-availability operational environments
