Description
PNC
is seeking a Senior Agentic AI Engineer to design, develop, and implement
enterprise-grade agentic AI solutions using the Microsoft Agent Framework. This
role is responsible for hands-on development, integration, testing, and
deployment of intelligent agents, tools, workflows, and orchestration
capabilities that support business objectives within a governed AI ecosystem.
The
ideal candidate combines strong software engineering skills with expertise in
AI application development, agent frameworks, orchestration patterns, and
enterprise systems integration.
Key
Responsibilities:
Agent
Development & Engineering--
Refactor
and migrate prioritized Knowledge Search capabilities from Semantic Kernel to
the Microsoft Agent Framework.
Design,
build, and configure intelligent agents to support business workflows and user
interactions.
Develop
reusable agent capabilities, tools, plugins, and orchestration components.
Implement
agent collaboration, routing, delegation, and execution patterns.
Optimize
agent performance, scalability, reliability, and response quality.
Framework
& Platform Development--
Develop
solutions leveraging the Microsoft Agent Framework and Azure AI services.
Build
and maintain integrations between agents, enterprise applications, APIs, and external
systems.
Implement
agent lifecycle management, state management, and memory patterns.
Create
reusable engineering standards, libraries, and development accelerators.
Support
platform enhancements and framework modernization initiatives.
Governance
& Decisioning Integration--
Integrate
agents with Decision OS policies, directives, and governance controls.
Implement
guardrails, access controls, monitoring, and policy enforcement mechanisms.
Ensure
solutions adhere to enterprise security, compliance, and Responsible AI
standards.
Support
auditability, observability, and operational monitoring requirements.
Testing
& Quality Engineering--
Develop
and execute testing strategies for agent workflows and orchestration scenarios.
Create
automated testing and validation frameworks.
Troubleshoot
and resolve performance, reliability, and integration issues.
Support
user acceptance testing and demonstration activities, including Midland
showcase initiatives.
Contribute
to continuous improvement of engineering best practices.
Cross-Functional
Collaboration--
Partner
with architects, product owners, data teams, and business stakeholders.
Participate
in design reviews, sprint planning, and technical workshops.
Collaborate
with enterprise architecture teams to ensure alignment with target-state
design.
Provide

Qualifications
Bachelor's

related field.
