Freddie Mac is
seeking a skilled Data Analyst for a long-term (12+ months)
contract to support data-driven decision-making across business and
technology teams. This role focuses on analyzing large datasets, building
reports and dashboards, and delivering insights within a highly regulated,
enterprise financial services environment.
The ideal
candidate has strong analytical skills, hands-on SQL experience, and the ability
to clearly communicate insights to both technical and non-technical
stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Analyze large, complex datasets
to identify trends, patterns, and insights
Develop, maintain, and enhance
dashboards and recurring reports
Write and optimize SQL queries
to extract and manipulate data from multiple sources
Partner with business and
technology teams to gather and clarify data requirements
Ensure data accuracy,
integrity, and consistency across analytics deliverables
Perform data validation,
reconciliation, and quality checks
Document data definitions,
business rules, and reporting logic
Present findings and
recommendations to stakeholders and leadership
Support ad-hoc analysis and
ongoing reporting initiatives
Required
Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a
Data Analyst or similar role
Strong SQL skills and
experience working with relational databases
Experience with data
visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
Strong analytical,
problem-solving, and communication skills
Experience working in
enterprise or financial services environments
Ability to work in a hybrid
model in McLean, VA
Preferred
Qualifications
Experience working with Freddie
Mac, Fannie Mae, or mortgage/financial data
Knowledge of data governance,
data quality, and regulatory reporting
Experience with Python, R, or
other analytics tools
