Position Overview
The Digital Content Specialist will support web content creation, optimization, taxonomy management, and data-driven content analysis for Caterpillar’s digital platforms. This role requires hands-on experience with SEO, website taxonomy, and content management tools. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, technically proficient, and comfortable working cross-functionally with product, SEO, and development teams.

Qualifications
5–7 years overall professional experience
3–5 years writing and editing web or technical content
Experience using keyword research tools for insights and optimization
Experience processing and managing large-scale text data files for QA and system integration
SEO experience, including meta tag creation and competitive analysis
Experience working with website taxonomy and product categorization
Experience with PIM tools (preferred)
Familiarity with translation/localization workflows, including termbases and translation memories
Experience as a digital marketing copywriter or similar content producer

Key Responsibilities
Provide continuous content support, including updating, analyzing, translating, and delivering content in formats such as Excel reports, charts, graphs, PowerPoint decks, and file imports.
Serve as an expert Excel user to extract reports, manipulate datasets, and create visually clear charts/graphs.
Write, review, and edit SEO-optimized content to support business needs across client websites.
Collaborate with product groups to maintain and optimize the Parts.Cat.Com product taxonomy and improve user experience.
Manage end-to-end content projects with strong attention to detail, deadlines, and stakeholder needs.
Apply ethical SEO best practices, including keyword research, competitive analysis, meta tag creation, and social media optimization.
Work closely with the SEO Manager to optimize product titles and descriptions.
Partner with the development team to ensure alignment in content development workflows.
Support translation and localization processes using translation technologies and linguistic assets.
Collaborate cross-functionally to understand and deliver on internal content needs.
