Project Overview
This role focuses on implementing federally mandated enhancements to the Medicaid System by
performing Quality Assurance (QA) testing and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of software
modifications. Responsibilities include validating coding changes with system users, external healthcare
providers, and trading partners to ensure compliance and accuracy. The position also requires
coordinating with other agencies and internal systems to verify integration points, document results,
resolve defects, and ensure system readiness in alignment with federal requirements.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the project team to validate coding changes through structured testing.
• Develop detailed test scenarios and execute functional and regression test cases.
• Analyze test results, document findings, and identify discrepancies between actual and expected
outcomes.
• Work closely with stakeholders to resolve defects and ensure system accuracy.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business users and external partners.
• Communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats with team members and
stakeholders.
Education and Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required, along with proven experience in Quality Assurance testing.
Required Experience:
• Proficiency in Mainframe environments, including MVS, COBOL, and JCL
• Strong background in software testing methodologies with expertise in designing and executing test
scenarios
• Skilled in analyzing results, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring quality outcomes
• Effective communicator with proven ability to convey information clearly in both written and oral
formats
• Highly adaptable, flexible, and self-motivated with strong problem-solving and analytical thinking

Preferred Experience:
• Hands-on experience with CA-ADS in mainframe environments
• Proficiency in SQL for data queries, validation, and analysis
• Familiarity with Serena ChangeMan or other enterprise change control tools
• Strong knowledge in the use of testing tools for software quality assurance
• Experience with Medicaid (MMIS) systems or healthcare claims processing application
