Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer for a hybrid position located in O'Fallon, Missouri. This role requires a technically proficient candidate with hands-on experience in Spark, Python, ETL tools, and a strong foundation in Azure cloud services. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of collaborating across teams to implement enterprise-level data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a technical lead and point of contact for various project stakeholders including engineering, operations, data science, and external vendors.
Assist in the assessment, analysis, and implementation of Microsoft Graph Data Connect.
Design, develop, and maintain automated data pipelines using tools such as Alteryx, NIFI, Azure Data Factory, etc.
Implement monitoring, reporting, and alerting mechanisms to ensure data integrity and platform reliability.
Apply security best practices to mitigate risks and implement control mechanisms.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define milestones, and deliver solutions on time.
Follow enterprise standards, policies, and best practices in data engineering.
Optimize resource usage and cost efficiency within Azure environments.
Create thorough documentation and monitoring tools for ongoing support.
Must-Have Skills & Experience:
Strong expertise in Spark & Python
Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Alteryx and NIFI
Azure experience, including:
Compute, Blob Storage, Active Directory
Application Registrations
Azure Data Factory
Building automation pipelines
Monitoring & Alerts
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to navigate Microsoft Graph and Microsoft 365 services
Experience working in a collaborative, enterprise-level environment
Detail-oriented with a deep understanding of data integrity and exploration
Nice-to-Have Skills:
SQL
Experience with AWS
