Description:
We
are seeking a seasoned Data Engineer with strong expertise in SQL
Server, Snowflake, and ETL tools to join our team in Boston. The ideal
candidate will have a background in finance or banking domains, and a
proven track record of delivering robust data solutions in hybrid cloud
environments.
Key
Responsibilities:
Design,
develop, and optimize data pipelines using Snowflake, SQL Server,
and ETL tools (Ab Initio/Informatica).
Implement
data warehousing solutions and ensure best practices in ETL development.
Work with
structured and semi-structured data formats including JSON and XML.
Develop and
maintain Unix shell scripts and Windows batch scripts for
automation.
Collaborate
with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and system
stewardship.
Document
processes and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.
Required
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s
degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of experience in database development
(Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, etc.).
6+ years of hands-on experience with Ab Initio
or Informatica.
5+ years working with cloud platforms like Snowflake,
AWS, or Azure.
Strong
understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL best
practices.
Proficiency
in handling JSON/XML data formats.
Experience
in scripting (Unix/Windows).
Excellent
communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
