What he’s looking for: Data Modelers with solid experience, he’s been sent resumes of candidates with 10-15 YOE but they don’t necessarily need that senior of people but doesn’t want someone with only 1-2 YOE Experience working within a financial institution is a plus and prior Cap One is the cherry on top Someone who really knows how to work with data producers, what the data is, ontology, data relationships

If they have ERWIN that would be someone that shows good data modeling experience
Soft skills is a big thing for this team Will be coordinating with multiple teams, helping scheduling meetings, getting solutions onward, strong problem solving skills They will have a team that will support them and coach them up but needs someone who can take things on more independently
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models. - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs. - Adhere to data modeling standards and best practices. - Optimize database structures for performance and scalability. - Ensure data integrity and compliance with governance policies. - Coordinate with ETL developers for seamless system integration. - Perform data profiling, lineage analysis, and impact assessments. - Document metadata and business rules in data dictionaries.
