  1. Physical
    1. Move racks into place
    2. Able to lift 50 lbs
    3. Use hand tools
    4. Able to work on ladders
    5. Squatting and kneeling behind racks.
  2. Mechanical Skills
    1. Server Rack installs – Bay and levelling feet
    2. Server installs into racks
    3. Component replacement (NIC cards, HBAs, DIMMS, Hard drives etc.)
    4. Cable installation – Fiber and copper cabling.
    5. Use Server Lift.
    6. Hand Scanners (inventory new racks)
  3. Software
    1. Use and manipulate EXCEL spreadsheets
    2. Strong understanding of Windows environment (work laptops)
    3. Set and debug IP addresses on server ILO’s,Storage arrays, and other Data center devices. (basic understanding of IPV4 IP addressing)
    4. Read and understand engineering install documentation
    5. Use of ticketing systems (Service Now).
    6. Oneview  & ILO – view server status
    7. EasyMark – Label creation software
    8. Device42 – Hardware and Storage inventory database
  4. Technical skills
    1. Basic understanding of basic network IP addresses (IPV4).
    2. Troubleshooting skills –
    3. Identify faulty cables
    4. Networking issues related to ip address settings (Ip address, gateways, subnet masks)
    5. Hardware replacement and fault identification (HD, Dimms, Fans, Power supplies)
    6. Able to learn and follow infrastructure cabling in the data Halls
