Description:
Must Have Qualifications: Candidates must have 12+ years
of relevant development experience with strong hands-on experience in Python
and PySpark. Candidates should have experience with Legacy code and solid
exposure to modernizing projects.
Responsibilities include the following.
Develop scalable and reliable
data solutions to move data across systems from multiple sources in real
time as well as batch modes
Identify and deliver innovative
automation solutions in the areas of data engineering, including
technology implementations using Agile constructs
While implementing technical
solutions using modern cloud solutions, support residual legacy
applications
Understand business and
establish strong partnership with stakeholders including Product Owners
and Scrum Masters
Quickly learn new and legacy
technologies and paradigms to deploy cutting-edge solutions
Utilize expertise in models
that leverage the newest data sources, technologies, and tools, such as
Python, Hadoop, Spark, AWS, as well as other cutting-edge tools and
applications for Big Data
Support applications, including
providing fixes to production defects and making enhancements
Quickly evaluate defects,
investigate causes, and come up with solutions to address defects
Provide production support and
provide clear communication on the resolution of incidents
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer
Science or Engineering or equivalent working experience
12+ years of experience in
delivering solutions using the Software Development Life Cycle
12+ years’ experience in
delivering Data Engineering solutions using Python, PySpark, and AWS (S3,
Glue, EMR, Data Lake, Delta Lake)
3+ years’ experience working
with complex SQL queries and a Unix environment
Ability to lead a team of
junior developers
