We need 2 sr. candidates; can be remote but 10 weeks long.
Extensions could happen but we don’t know for sure. Can interview this week.
Must have skills:
1) Python development - Core language for building the
backend automation and compliance systems
2) AWS cloud services - Infrastructure where these security and compliance
tools will run
3) React/Next.js - Frontend framework for building the user interfaces that
surface security test results and compliance data
4) CI/CD + IaC - Critical for continuously testing security controls and
generating compliance data
Why role is needed:
Every country has security and compliance requirements that
must be adhered to in order for Cisco to sell them their products. Until
recently, Cisco checked all products against these requirements manually.
This team has created a tool that automates this process. The tool is
still very immature and the work that these developers will be doing is
maturing it. They are trying to hit a deadline, which is why this is
currently 8-10 weeks.
Must live in Raleigh or San Jose. Onsite requirement
1-2 days/week (especially if in San Jose) and if/when executives are in
town. Again, with this only being 8-10 weeks, so the onsite requirement
is very minimal.
We can use H1s.
Interviews will take place next week. Ideally looking
for these people to walk in 8/31 (3 weeks from Monday).
These will be mid-senior level developers. With this
moving so fast, we don’t have a lot of time for interviews, so I really need
you to vet your candidates and only move forward with those you feel very
convicted around.
