We are seeking a highly
experienced IT Business Analyst to lead and support HR technology
initiatives, with a strong emphasis on Workday, US Payroll, and Benefits
Integration. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between business
needs and technical solutions, ensuring that HR systems are optimized for
performance, compliance, and user experience. You will collaborate with
cross-functional teams, including HR, IT, and external vendors, to deliver
scalable and sustainable solutions that align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis &
Requirements Gathering
Engage with stakeholders to understand and document
business problems, goals, and value drivers.
Capture functional and non-functional requirements,
ensuring alignment with compliance, usability, and data governance
standards.
Translate business needs into system capabilities and
workflows.
Process & System Design
Analyze and model current and future-state business
processes, data flows, and system interactions.
Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for
automation or enhancement.
Collaborate with solution architects and developers
to design scalable and maintainable systems.
Documentation & Testing
Create clear, traceable documentation including
business requirements, user stories, process maps, and configuration
guides.
Define acceptance criteria and lead testing efforts
to validate solutions against business needs.
Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and coordinate
defect resolution.
Stakeholder Engagement &
Communication
Facilitate workshops, design sessions, and
stakeholder reviews to gather input and build consensus.
Present business cases and solution proposals to
leadership for prioritization and funding.
Act as a trusted advisor to HR and IT teams,
translating technical concepts into business language.
System Configuration &
Vendor Collaboration
Configure HR systems (primarily Workday) based on
business requirements and best practices.
Liaise with software vendors to ensure timely
delivery and alignment with internal standards.
Monitor system performance and recommend
enhancements.
Innovation & Continuous
Improvement
Stay current with HR technology trends, vendor
capabilities, and regulatory changes.
Propose innovative solutions to complex problems,
balancing cost, risk, and value.
Champion continuous improvement and agile delivery
practices.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of professional experience, with 8+
years as a Business Analyst in IT or HR domains.
Proven expertise in HR processes, US
Payroll, and Benefits Integration.
Strong hands-on experience with Workday
configuration and reporting.
Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and
hybrid project delivery methodologies.
Proficient in data analysis, process
modeling, and systems engineering concepts.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and
presentation skills.
Strong leadership and influencing capabilities across
cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in CBAP (Certified Business Analysis
Professional) or PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis).
Experience with HRIS implementations, change
management, and vendor management.
Knowledge of compliance frameworks related to
payroll and benefits (e.g., HIPAA, FLSA).
