We are seeking an experienced Data Tech Lead with 12+ years of experience leading enterprise-scale data architecture, engineering, and cloud transformation initiatives. This role will provide end-to-end leadership across data strategy, architecture, governance, and delivery while driving the development of modern Azure-based data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Lead architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise data solutions across Azure and Databricks.
Define data product roadmaps and drive scalable, future-ready data platform initiatives.
Design and optimize data pipelines using ADF, ADLS, Databricks, Delta Live Tables (DLT), and Structured Streaming.
Lead data modeling, metadata management, governance, security, lineage, and performance optimization efforts.
Drive CI/CD implementation, automation, and operational excellence.
Partner with business stakeholders, architects, data scientists, and leadership teams to deliver strategic data solutions.
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and governance across development teams.
Required Skills
12–17 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Analytics Platforms.
Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF), ADLS, Databricks, DLT, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, SQL, REST APIs, Python, Spark, and Scala.
Experience with Unity Catalog, data governance, metadata management, and lineage.
Strong data modeling experience using tools such as SAP PowerDesigner or BiZ Design.
Experience with CI/CD, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Expertise in SQL performance tuning, OLTP schema design, indexing, and database optimization.
Strong stakeholder management, executive communication, and leadership skills.
Nice to Have
Experience with Kafka, Hadoop, Spark Streaming, Airflow, Azkaban, or Luigi.
Knowledge of Power BI or QlikSense.
Azure, Databricks, AI/ML, or Data Engineering certifications.
Experience within Trading & Supply, Freight, Shipping, or Commodity Trading environments.
Knowledge of RightAngle, Endur, or Veson IMOS.
