· Large-Scale Network Architecture & Design – Proven leadership designing resilient WAN, datacenter, hybrid, and OT network architectures with high availability and safety requirements.
· OT / Industrial Networking Expertise – Strong experience with segmentation, secure connectivity, and production-critical environments (SCADA, control systems, or similar).
· Advanced Routing, Resiliency & Security – Deep hands-on knowledge of BGP, OSPF, failover strategies, zero trust, and OT cybersecurity principles.
· Hands-On Technical Leadership – Ability to both define strategy and personally implement, validate, and troubleshoot complex production networks.
· Operational Excellence & Change Discipline – Experience building runbooks, SOPs, support models, and driving stability through structured change management.

Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Design
· Develop High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD) for enterprise and OT network environments.
· Design large-scale network topologies across WAN, datacenter, cloud, and hybrid environments.
· Lead design of advanced routing, failover, and resiliency strategies aligned to uptime and safety requirements.
· Establish and maintain network architecture standards, patterns, and reference designs.
· Provide technical oversight and design reviews for new solutions and brownfield improvements.
 
Implementation & Configuration
· Deploy and configure routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and related network services.
· Lead hands-on execution of OT and enterprise network builds, upgrades, and remediation efforts.
· Validate implementations against architectural standards and operational requirements.
· Operate in a Cisco-first environment with exposure to multi-vendor platforms (Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, etc.).
· Troubleshoot complex issues across routing, switching, and security domains.
 
Monitoring & Optimization
· Monitor network performance, latency, and throughput across critical OT and enterprise environments.
· Proactively identify and mitigate performance bottlenecks and reliability risks.
· Tune routing behavior and configurations to optimize stability and performance.
· Perform capacity planning and lifecycle analysis to support growth.
· Drive continuous improvement in network observability, alerting, and telemetry.
 
Security & Compliance
· Implement network segmentation, VPNs, and secure access architectures aligned with OT cybersecurity standards.
· Apply zero trust principles and enterprise security requirements to all designs.
· Partner with Cybersecurity teams to ensure regulatory and internal compliance.
· Support incident response and remediation of network-related vulnerabilities.
 
Operationalization
· Develop and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and operational documentation.
· Define support models with clear ownership and escalation paths.
· Lead operational handoff and knowledge transfer for new solutions.
· Provide hypercare support for major deployments and changes.
· Drive improvements in change management, service reliability, and operational maturity.
