The
position of Business Analyst (Cloud Governance) is critical in enabling
organizations to effectively utilize cloud technologies while ensuring
compliance, security, cost efficiency, and operational excellence. This role
bridges the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring
that cloud governance strategies and capability delivery align with
organizational goals and policies/standards. With a unique blend of
analytical, technical, and communication skills, this position offers an opportunity
to make a significant impact on achieving our cloud strategy in which
governance in critical to driving standardization, cost and risk
reduction. This position is critical to helping create a culture
compliance and transparency.
The ideal
candidate will have a proven track record of working with stakeholders to
develop robust requirements documentation and working with the engineering
teams to deliver products that meet the requirements.
Key
Responsibilities
- Act as
a liaison between cloud governance team, platform owners / business domains,
ServiceNow, CIS, and other stakeholders to ensure business requirements and
interfaces are fully flushed out so that the engineering team can deliver
governance platform capabilities.

Interface with platform / rule owners across the enterprise to ensure new
standards / rules governing the cloud infrastructure, are defined and
documented with clearly outlined requirements for compliance detection and
measurement.
- Partner
with engineering team to design and define clear requirements for delivering
policy as code in support of all cloud governance capabilities (detection,
notification, and reporting).

Aid Cloud Governing Body with standard / rule documentation; facilitation of
standard/rule approval, publication and communication; and lifecycle
management.
- Working
with platform / rule owners, facilitate exception handling process when
standards / rules cannot be adhered to.
- Serve
as empowered liaison to interface with adjacent teams (e.g. Service Now,
pipeline deployment team, CIS) that are responsible for feeding compliance data
into cloud governance, and ensure requirements, design, and delivery
expectations are met.
- Analyze
cloud governance dashboards and reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, and
risks associated with all compliance metrics.
- Present
data based findings and actionable recommendations to stakeholders (including
leaders) to improve compliance metrics, adoption, and cloud governance
practices.
- Develop
and communicate guidance documents to educate stakeholders on cloud governance
principles, capabilities, and best practices.
- Promote
a culture of accountability and continuous improvement in cloud governance.
Required
Skills and Qualifications
Technical
Expertise

Proficiency in SQL for querying data for insights.

Familiarity with AWS cloud platform as it relates to data engineering and data
science.

Familiarity with lucid or other diagramming software.
Analytical
Skills
- Ability
to analyze complex data sets to extract meaningful insights.

Experience in data visualization tools like Databricks, Athena, or Tableau.
Communication

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts
to non-technical stakeholders.

Experience with Confluence and Jira
Education
and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, Economics,
Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of progressive analytics and data visualization experience

Experience using tools such as Excel, Database and Data Warehouse applications
(postgress or some sql db, databricks or equivalent) and others to directly
query, assess, and analyze data to meet business needs
