About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Network Engineer to support and maintain our client’s IT infrastructure in Charlestown, MA. This onsite role requires hands-on technical skills, particularly in networking, AWS, Windows administration, and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of enterprise networks and system administration, along with a proactive approach to issue resolution and system optimization.
Note: Only candidates currently residing near Charlestown, MA will be considered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hardware and software support for Thin Clients, laptops, and 125+ end users.
  • Maintain high availability of network systems, applications, services, and infrastructure.
  • Administer and support Microsoft Teams telephone system and associated hardware.
  • Manage and support FSLogix VDI User Profile Management environment.
  • Assist with administration of LAN/WAN infrastructure, Windows Domain Controllers, DHCP, and DNS.
  • Support Citrix Virtual Desktop and Application environments, including testing and updates.
  • Perform testing, debugging, and support for desktops, laptops, server hardware, and system software.
  • Apply firmware and software patches/upgrades; coordinate with vendors for support.
  • Maintain and support EMC Storage Area Network (SAN), including disk arrays, fiber channel switches, and tape libraries.
  • Administer Windows File Servers, Barracuda Email Filter software, and the BMC Track-It Service Desk application.
  • Record, track, and manage service requests using the Service Desk application.
  • Contribute to IT projects and provide user training where needed.

Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of professional IT experience in a network engineering or system administration role.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Windows Desktop OS and Microsoft Office 365.
    • Experience with PC/server hardware and peripherals.
    • Strong knowledge of AWS instance management and Hyper-V 3.0.
    • Familiarity with Backup Exec systems.
    • LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS configuration and troubleshooting.
    • Experience with Citrix, VDI, FSLogix, and EMC SAN environments.
    • Windows File Server and Active Directory administration.
