Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer to join the Collaboration, Automation and Social Tools (CAST) team. This role is essential for supporting and enhancing the operation of key internal collaboration platforms, primarily Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence), Slack, Bonita BPM, and various integration platforms. The ideal candidate will provide first and second-line technical support, troubleshoot issues, manage user access, and develop automation scripts to improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Atlassian Suite Administration: Manage, configure, and maintain Jira and Confluence environments, including user management, permissions, workflow design, and ensuring system performance and data integrity.
Slack Workspace Management: Oversee Slack workspace administration, including channel management, user provisioning/de-provisioning, and enforcement of security policies.
Bonita BPM Platform Support: Provide maintenance and support for the Bonita BPM platform to ensure stable and effective business process automation.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Act as primary contact for collaboration tools, delivering first and second-line support, troubleshooting issues, and managing user access to minimize downtime.
Custom Scripting & Automation: Develop and maintain Groovy scripts for Jira customizations and Python scripts for automation and system integrations.
Slack Integrations: Design, develop, and manage complex Slack integrations using APIs and bot frameworks to automate tasks and streamline communication.
Documentation & Knowledge Management: Create and update operational documentation, user guides, and troubleshooting procedures to promote self-service and knowledge sharing.
On-Call Rotation & Monitoring: Participate in on-call support rotation and actively monitor support channels to respond promptly to critical incidents outside regular business hours.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience administering Jira, Confluence, and Slack in an enterprise environment.
Proficient in Groovy scripting (or Java) for Jira customizations and strong Python programming skills for automation.
Solid understanding of workflow management and BPM tools, preferably with Bonita BPM experience.
Hands-on experience with database management and troubleshooting application backend data issues.
Strong knowledge of Linux system administration, scripting, and troubleshooting.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with authentication systems such as SSO/SAML and directory services (Active Directory/LDAP).
Familiarity with web infrastructure including nginx and web server technologies.
Knowledge of REST APIs and webhooks for system integration.
