Job Title: Platform Engineer Architect

Location: Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Rate: $63/hr on USM W2
 
Job Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Platform Engineer Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance IT solutions. This role demands deep expertise in modern technology stacks including Kubernetes, Kafka, Solr, Apigee, and BPM platforms, with a strong focus on architectural strategy, integration, and documentation of best practices.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect and deliver end-to-end IT solutions integrating diverse platforms.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable and secure architecture designs.
  • Document solution flows, identify gaps, and propose optimization strategies.
  • Establish and maintain best practices, standards, and technical guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across development, operations, and business units.
  • Conduct architectural reviews, risk assessments, and impact analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with security, performance, and enterprise standards.
  • Mentor teams on modern tech stacks including Kubernetes, Kafka, Solr, Apigee, and BPM.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.
 
Technical Skills:
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and microservices.
  • Hands-on expertise with Kafka for event streaming and messaging.
  • Experience with Solr for search platform implementation.
  • Proficiency in Apigee or similar API gateway technologies.
  • Deep understanding of BPM platforms and workflow automation.
  • Solid grasp of cloud architectures, system integration, and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated testing.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of security best practices for distributed systems.
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and cross-functional leadership.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Relevant certifications in architecture, Kubernetes, Kafka, or cloud platforms.
