Role / title: Forward-Deployed Engineer (Palantir Foundry/AIP) - Echo

Type of placement: Contract / Staff Augmentation

Estimated Start Date: ASAP

Rate: around $50 hr W2 Max

Interview Process: TBD (likely 1–2 rounds)

Role Summary & Mission The FD Echo is the sustainability engine of the Palantir Center of Excellence. Where FD Delta builds, and FD Partner drives value, FD Echo ensures what has been built continues to deliver — at scale, reliably, and with growing business adoption over time. This role takes ownership of solutions at productionalization and is responsible for preventing capability atrophy: the gradual degradation of value that occurs when solutions are not sustained, evolved, or embedded into business operations.

FD Echo is a distinctive and critical role that blends technical depth with operational and enablement skills. It is the right fit for engineers who are energized by making things last, not just making things work.

This is a Forward Deployed role, so travel is expected. The range is between 10-30% (2-6 nights/month) on average, with some periods being higher and some periods being lower. Key Responsibilities

Partner with FD Delta’s on productionalized solutions and assume ownership of sustainability, ongoing performance, and business uptake.
Develop and maintain Productization & Lifecycle Management plans for all solutions under ownership — including versioning, dependency management, and sunset criteria.
Monitor solution health metrics via Palantir Foundry observability tooling and AIP Observability; identify degradation signals and initiate tuning cycles proactively.
Partner with business unit teams to drive user adoption, build user confidence, and identify expansion opportunities within productionalized capabilities.
Build and maintain enablement materials — documentation, training guides, reusable templates — to reduce reliance on CoE engineering resources over time.
Support the Recurring Value Realization process for assigned use cases, including preparation of Realization Dashboards and Value White Papers in partnership with the Value Partner.
Identify scalability constraints and feed architectural insights back to FD Delta and the Platform Leads to inform future development standards.
Support deployment and release management activities in coordination with the Platform Team.

Required Skills & Competencies Platform Enablement Layer (Primary)

Deep familiarity with Palantir Foundry operational tooling — monitoring, observability, pipeline health, and lifecycle management
Experience with productization practices: release management, versioning, dependency tracking, and operational runbooks
Ability to configure and interpret AIP Observability and Evals tooling to assess agent performance over time

Business Value Layer (Supporting Depth)

Strong enablement and documentation skills — able to translate complex technical systems into accessible user-facing materials
Change management sensibility — understands what drives and blocks adoption, and can design lightweight interventions to improve uptake
Ability to engage with business stakeholders to gather feedback, communicate changes, and build trust in production systems

Experience

2–10+ years of experience in software engineering, platform operations, or technical product management
Experience in highly regulated industries (insurance, finance, healthcare) is a strong plus
Prior experience with Palantir Foundry or comparable enterprise data platforms preferred
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related business field
Optional: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field

Success Metrics / KPIs Capability Uptime and Reliability
