Role: Cloud Security Architect

Contract Duration: (6 Months, Possible Extension)

Location: Hybrid – Sterling, VA (Onsite Tue & Wed mandatory)
Pay Rate: Up to $86.00/hr. on W2

Key Responsibilities:

· Serve as a Cloud Security SME for WBD Infosec

· Lead architectural reviews and security assessments

· Create and maintain cloud security designs, artifacts, and documentation

· Guide product teams on secure serverless and network architecture

· Recommend and implement mitigations for security misconfigurations

· Interface with cloud providers and vendors

· Mentor junior security team members

Key Skills & Technologies:

· Cloud security experience (Azure required, AWS/GCP preferred)

· Security architecture & design reviews (2+ years)

· IAM policy design (least privilege)

· Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)

· Scripting (Python, Node.js, or Golang)

· Network & VPC engineering

· Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools

· Azure Defender, AWS GuardDuty, GCP Security Center, WAF, GitHub Security

Soft Skills:

· Strong understanding of decentralized cloud security risks

· Risk assessment & mitigation mindset

· Detail-oriented communicator, adaptable and self-driven

· Ability to automate processes and integrate security into DevOps workflows

Certifications (Preferred):

· Cloud: AWS Solutions Architect/Security Specialty, GCP Professional Security Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect

· Security: CISSP, CompTIA Security+

Education:

· Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
