Onsite in downtown Houston, TX (must be local or committed to relocation)
 
Position Summary
The Systems Analyst – SAP MM/MDG Specialist will play a key role in evaluating, enhancing, and supporting enterprise SAP systems with a primary focus on:
  • Materials Management (MM),
  • Master Data Governance (MDG),
  • Procurement,
  • Logistics,
  • and associated data processes. 
 
The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of hands-on SAP MM configuration experience, deep expertise in data migration and cleansing, and strong knowledge of MDG processes and tools. This position requires the ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.

  • SAP MDG (Master Data Governance)
  • SAP MM (Materials Management)
  • SAP ECC → SAP S/4HANA transition exposure (nice to have)

  • Workflow configuration in MDG
  • Data models, governance rules, derivations
  • Material Master expertise (not just MDG domain experience)
  • Hands-on production support experience
  • Enhancement support (WRICEF objects understanding)
  • Ability to work multiple supply chain functional areas

  • Debugs issues
  • Understands SAP tables, data structures, workflow logs
  • Engages deeply in production support AND project work
 
MDG + Materials Management Together
 
  • MDG alone isn't enough.
  • MM alone isn't enough.
 
He needs a true MDG-MM hybrid, specifically with:
 
  • Material Master domain expertise
  • Understanding of governance models + execution processes
  • Experience across supply chain functions (procurement → inventory → warehousing → EWM)
 
Implementation Experience (Not Just Support, Nice to have)
 
  • Blueprinting
  • Data model creation
  • Governance rule set design
  • Workflow build
  • Integration with ECC or S/4
  • Cutover planning
 
Strong Attitude & Adaptability
 
Strong curiosity
Not rigid or project-only focused
Willing to work across procurement, inventory, warehouse, etc.
Understands/ Exposure to custom objects and Z-tables
Comfortable supporting multiple functions
