Job Summary
American Airlines is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to design, automate, implement, and support large-scale network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong Fortinet firewall, network automation, and Microsoft Azure networking experience.
Responsibilities
Develop and engineer network device configuration scripts and supporting change documentation.
Implement network changes during scheduled after-hours maintenance windows.
Review network designs and change documentation prepared by other engineers.
Develop processes to test applications and network devices prior to deployment and optimize performance.
Provide second-tier support to network operations teams and participate in on-call escalation.
Translate business requirements into technical network solutions and deliverables.
Manage small to medium-sized internal network projects.
Design complex physical and logical network architectures based on business requirements.
Provide technical guidance on data, voice, and mobile networking solutions.
Required Skills
5+ years of Network Engineering experience designing, developing, and implementing production solutions.
Strong Fortinet Firewall experience.
Network Infrastructure Automation experience.
Microsoft Azure Networking experience.
Strong understanding of Routing & Switching.
