Job Description:
Mastek's Data & AI practice builds data platforms, accelerators, and custom tools for enterprise clients across financial services, insurance, healthcare, and manufacturing. We are looking for a senior full stack engineer who is equally comfortable building a polished React application, a Node.js or Python service layer, and the data integration logic underneath it. You will design and build data products end to end, from user interface to backend services to cloud deployment, working directly with client engineering teams.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
●      Design and build full stack applications for data platforms and tooling, including configuration UIs, monitoring dashboards, and self-service portals
●      Develop responsive, component-based front ends in React with TypeScript, including state management, forms, data grids, and visualizations
●      Build backend services and APIs in Node.js and Python (FastAPI, Express, or similar), with sound API design, authentication and authorization, and clean service boundaries
●      Build reusable, configuration-driven frameworks and libraries rather than one-off code, with plugin-style extensibility
●      Develop data integration components that move data from databases, files, and APIs into cloud warehouses and data lakes, including full and incremental loads
●      Integrate applications with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or Dagster
●      Design relational data models and work extensively with PostgreSQL and at least one cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, or similar)
●      Deploy and operate applications on AWS using containers, managed databases, object storage, and secrets management
●      Write infrastructure as code, set up CI/CD pipelines, and maintain strong automated test coverage across front end and backend
●      Build observability into applications through logging, metrics, alerting, and audit trails
●      Incorporate LLM-powered features where they add real value, using platforms such as Amazon Bedrock or OpenAI
●      Participate in client design sessions, explain technical tradeoffs clearly, and produce design documentation and knowledge transfer materials

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
●      Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
●      8+ years of overall IT industry experience, with at least 5 years of relevant full-stack development experience
●      Strong React and TypeScript/JavaScript skills, with production applications to show for it
●      Strong backend development experience in both Node.js and Python
●      Solid experience designing and building RESTful APIs, including OAuth2/SSO integration
●      Strong SQL and relational database design skills, ideally PostgreSQL
●      Hands-on experience building data integration or ETL/ELT logic: extracting from databases, files, and APIs and loading into analytical stores
●      Hands-on AWS experience (ECS/EKS or Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, or equivalents)
●      Docker, Git, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code (Terraform or AWS CDK)
●      Excellent written and verbal communication, with client-facing experience leading technical discussions and presenting designs
●      Ability to work independently on fixed-timeline deliveries across onshore and offshore teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
●      Experience building internal developer tools, low-code/configuration-driven platforms, or metadata-driven frameworks
●      Apache Airflow or Dagster
●      Change data capture tools such as Debezium, or experience with Kafka
●      Snowflake development experience
●      Data lineage, catalog, or data quality tooling (OpenLineage, OpenMetadata, Great Expectations, or similar)
●      Building LLM-powered or agentic features into applications
●      Experience in financial services or other regulated industries
●      AWS or Snowflake certifications
