  • Frontend moved from secondary to primary responsibility (60/40 split).
  • React is no longer the centerpiece; Next.js + TypeScript are.
  • Stronger emphasis on engineering maturity, testing, and code quality.

Required Skills
  • Advanced Java development experience
  • Advanced Next.js development experience
  • Strong TypeScript expertise
  • Experience building enterprise-grade web applications
  • Strong understanding of software engineering best practices
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments
  • Strong testing, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience performing thorough self-validation prior to code review
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Skills
  • Exposure to C#/.NET applications (half their environment is C# so will paired program with a .net dev at times)
  • Experience with modern React development
  • Enterprise systems integration experience
  • Experience working within large-scale application ecosystems
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot
