Top Skills /Overview
The hiring manager wants us to prioritize candidates from large enterprise environments, GCP and would like to see large scale cloud infrastructure projects they have supported vs. general KTLO operations.

Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Network Engineer with a strong track record of success in enterprise-scale environments. The ideal candidate will have 8–10+ years of experience, with clear tenure and demonstrated impact in designing, implementing, and managing complex cloud and hybrid network infrastructures. A focus on project-based work such as cloud migrations, security architecture, and enterprise-scale infrastructure deployments is essential. This is not a KTLO or maintenance-heavy role.
Candidates must be proficient across GCP, AWS, and Azure networking ecosystems and have deep hands-on experience with technologies such as Palo Alto (Strata and Prisma), Cisco, F5 (BigIP, XC, GSLB), external DNS, VIP/FIP, and dynamic routing protocols.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud and on-prem network solutions, including hybrid and multi-cloud architectures.
  • Develop enterprise-grade security-first network strategies, ensuring compliance and scalability across GCP, Azure, AWS, and OCI.
  • Engineer and maintain complex network architectures leveraging Cisco, Palo Alto, VMware NSX-T/AVI, and F5 technologies.
  • Architect and manage high-availability configurations, including BGP, OSPF, SD-WAN, wireless LAN, and enterprise Wi-Fi deployments.
  • Build and maintain network automation workflows using scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and tools like Terraform or Ansible.
  • Configure and manage external DNS and domain registration using industry-standard services.
  • Drive cloud projects, such as cloud migrations, SD-WAN implementations, and network modernization ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Create technical documentation and network diagrams to support deployments, upgrades, and knowledge transfer.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams to execute high-impact initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • 8–10+ years of progressive experience in network engineering within large, complex enterprise environments.
  • Proven success delivering cloud-first initiatives not just run operations.
  • Strong command of GCP, with working knowledge of AWS and Azure.
  • Deep expertise in:
    • LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VLAN, dynamic routing (OSPF/BGP), VPN, MPLS, load balancing
    • F5 technologies: BigIP, GSLB, XC, VIP/FIP configuration
    • Palo Alto: Prisma, Strata, FW rules, clustering, SD-WAN
  • Experience with network performance optimization, QoS, redundancy, and failover configurations.
  • Proficiency in network automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash, Terraform, or Ansible.
  • Familiar with SolarWinds, Wireshark, and/or other diagnostic and monitoring tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, Palo Alto, GCP/AWS/Azure certifications
  • Experience supporting cloud-native architectures in regulated or high-security environments.
  • Familiarity with zero trust networking, network access control (NAC), and cloud security posture management (CSPM).
Soft Skills:
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Tenure that reflects commitment and long-term project ownership
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with evolving technology stacks
  • Solution-oriented with the ability to lead initiatives and drive measurable outcomes
Travel:
  • Minimum travel required for conferences and or remote site work.
