Must-Haves (Non-Negotiable) • Experience: 2-4 years of relevant experience (Internship experience is acceptable). • Software: Experience with TeamCenter (Product Lifecycle Management software) and CREO (3D CAD software). • Background: Practical experience in manufacturing or part inspection.
Technical Skills: o Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). o Experience with Engineering Standards and Specifications. o Proficiency in CAD software.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
The core function is to ensure that engineering designs from various teams (New Product Introduction, Current Product Improvement, Production) adhere to Caterpillar's strict standards and specifications before they are released.
Key Responsibilities • Quality Assurance: Review engineering design drawings and 3D models to ensure they meet Caterpillar Engineering Standards. • Collaboration & Mentorship: Work directly with engineering designers to provide feedback and mentorship on improving design quality and resolving issues. • Process Support: Provide checking and releasing support for engineering notices and changes. • Cross-Functional Engagement: Collaborate with various teams involved in the product lifecycle, from supply chain to aftermarket support.
