We are seeking a skilled SQL Developer with hands-on
experience in Snowflake to design, develop, optimize, and maintain data
solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong SQL expertise, experience in
Snowflake data warehousing, and a solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes,
data modeling, and performance tuning. The role involves collaborating with
business analysts, data engineers, and application teams to deliver scalable
and high-performing data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, optimize, and
maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions.
Design and implement
data models, schemas, and database objects in Snowflake.
Build and support
ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion and transformation.
Optimize Snowflake
performance through query tuning, clustering, and warehouse management.
Create and manage
Snowflake objects such as Tables, Views, Stages, Streams, Tasks, and File
Formats.
Work with
semi-structured data (JSON, XML, Parquet) in Snowflake.
Collaborate with
cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver
data solutions.
Monitor data quality and
troubleshoot production issues.
Ensure database
security, governance, and compliance with organizational standards.
Participate in code
reviews and follow best development practices.
Required Skills
Strong expertise in SQL
with experience writing complex queries.
Hands-on experience with
Snowflake Cloud Data Platform.
Experience with ETL/ELT
tools (Informatica, Matillion, dbt, Talend, or similar).
Good understanding of
data warehousing concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Dimension
Modeling).
Experience with
Snowflake features such as:
Streams & Tasks
Snowpipe
Time Travel
Zero-Copy Cloning
Secure Data Sharing
Query Performance
Tuning
Knowledge of cloud
platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience with Git and
CI/CD practices.
Familiarity with
Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Python
or Shell scripting.
Knowledge of dbt,
Airflow, or similar orchestration tools.
Experience integrating
BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
SnowPro certification is
an added advantage.
Experience with REST
APIs and data integration.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in
Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3–8 years of experience
in SQL development.
At least 2+ years of
hands-on experience with Snowflake.
Nice to Have
Experience with Data
Lake/Data Warehouse projects.
Exposure to DevOps and
CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of Data
Governance and Data Quality frameworks.
