Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior SQL DBA with strong expertise in AWS RDS to manage and optimize database environments supporting mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installation, configuration, performance tuning, security, and high availability of SQL databases across cloud and on-prem environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Configuration: Set up and configure MS SQL and MySQL databases on AWS RDS.
Maintenance & Upgrades: Perform routine maintenance, patching, and version upgrades.
Performance Monitoring: Analyze and optimize database performance; resolve bottlenecks.
Security Management: Implement access controls, encryption, and authentication protocols.
Backup & Recovery: Design and execute robust backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve database-related issues and errors.
Data Integrity: Ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability of stored data.
User & Access Management: Manage roles, permissions, and user provisioning.
Capacity Planning: Forecast and plan for storage and compute resource needs.
Collaboration: Work closely with developers and cross-functional teams to support data-driven applications.
Required Skills:
8+ years of experience as a SQL DBA.
Strong hands-on experience with MS SQL, MySQL, and AWS RDS.
Proven ability in performance tuning and high availability setups.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
